Hello! Welcome to Perform Newnham at Newnham Croft Primary!

At Perform, we focus on the 4 Cs - confidence, concentration, coordination and communication and every one of our activities is designed to boost these essential life skills.

We started running classes at Newnham Croft Primary in January 2013 and are currently here every week during term-time on Saturdays.

At Perform Newnham, the Producer of the classes is Lauren and the Teacher is Victoria. The schools are looked after by our Area Partner, Sophie.

How to get here and parking:

Approach via Barton Road (A603) or Grange Road, turning onto Derby Road. Turn onto Grantchester Street and then onto Chedworth Street.

Pay-and-display street parking is available on surrounding residential roads.

Cambridge station is a short bus ride away. Local buses stop nearby on Grange Road and Barton Road, a brief walk from the venue.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at Newnham Croft Primary in Newnham are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. As a result, you can be confident that your child is in the best of hands. Here are the details of the Creative Team at this venue:

PRODUCER

Lauren

I have been working with Perform since 2022. I love using my experience as an actress and writer to encourage the children to use their big imaginations and always give every activity a try. When I am not teaching, you will find me writing plays or performing in my improvisation group. I absolutely adore being creative!

TEACHER

Victoria

I've been teaching at Perform since the start of 2025. I love working at Perform because it creates such a fun and supportive atmosphere for children to grow and develop - their progress every term always amazes me! I also love performing in productions for all the family to enjoy. My favourite role so far would have to be Cinnamon in LaplandUK, bringing the magic of Christmas to everyone!

AREA PARTNER

Oliver

Hi, I'm Oli! I've been with Perform since 2012 and work as an Area Partner, as well as running my own classes. Outside of Perform, I produce theatre shows and work in artist and live event management. Children have an incredible ability to find joy in the world around them, and that's one of the things I love most about my job. As an Area Partner, it's a privilege to support and develop our Teachers, helping even more children celebrate their individuality and discover what they're capable of.

AREA PARTNER

Sophie

I'm a Perform Teacher, Producer and Area Partner. I trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and alongside working for Perform have appeared in many television programmes for the BBC and Channel 4. Recently, I've been in several of the Perform shows in the West End! What I love about teaching for Perform is seeing how much children change during their time with us. It is a joy to see children having so much fun as they are learning!
