Welcome to Perform Guildford at Christ Church Hall Guildford. Here in Guildford, we offer drama, dance and singing sessions with a unique focus on fun and child development. Come and try a free class so you can see the benefits for yourself.

We started running classes at Christ Church Hall Guildford in October 2003 and are currently here every week during term-time on Saturdays and Wednesdays.

At Perform Guildford, the Producers of the classes are Lewis and Lucy and the Teachers are Matthew and Samantha. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Sophie.

The current term runs from 2nd September to 16th December with no sessions on 28th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

Drivers can reach the venue via Epsom Road (A246) or London Road (A3100) in Guildford, turning onto Waterden Road.

On-site parking is limited to a few spaces at the front and rear of the venue. Additional pay-and-display parking is available on surrounding streets.

Guildford railway station and London Road station are both within walking distance. Local buses stop along nearby Epsom Road.

Creative Team

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at Christ Church Hall Guildford in Guildford are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. As a result, you can be confident that your child is in the best of hands. Here are the details of the Creative Team at this venue:

PRODUCER

Lewis

After graduating from Arts Educational Schools and working as an actor, I started producing classes at Perform. Watching the children developing in confidence, life skills and enjoying the classes so much, makes it the most rewarding job. In my free time, you will often find me at the theatre taking in a new play or musical.

PRODUCER

Lucy

I've been teaching with Perform since 2023. My first Perform themes were Circus and Outlaws! I love using my experience as an actor to teach children, and help them bring all sorts of different characters to life. Outside of Perform, I love to watch Disney films - my current favourite is Toy Story 5!

TEACHER

Samantha

I have been working with Perform since 2017, after I graduated East15 Acting School in 2016! I love being able to utilise my performer knowledge in teaching and absolutely adore watching the children in my classes grow and develop throughout their time at Perform!

AREA PARTNER

Sophie

I'm a Perform Teacher, Producer and Area Partner. I trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and alongside working for Perform have appeared in many television programmes for the BBC and Channel 4. Recently, I've been in several of the Perform shows in the West End! What I love about teaching for Perform is seeing how much children change during their time with us. It is a joy to see children having so much fun as they are learning!

Initially Bennett was too afraid to join the group. By the end of the first lesson he was overjoyed and since then he's counting down to the next class. Bennett loves his teachers and 'never wants to leave' (his own words). It's a big 10/10 from us!
