Hello from Perform Battersea at St Luke's Community Hall. Here at Perform, we embrace the uniqueness of every child, offering a distinctive blend of drama, dance and singing to unlock their true potential.

We started running classes at St Luke's Community Hall in September 2009 and are currently here every week during term-time on Thursdays.

At Perform Battersea, the Producer of the classes is Lewis and the Teacher is Tamsin. The sessions are looked after by our Area Partner, Gemma.

The current term runs from 3rd September to 17th December with no sessions on 29th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

Drive via Nightingale Lane or Balham High Road (A24) into Balham, turning onto Ramsden Road. St Luke's Community Hall is located within St Luke's Church on Ramsden Road.

No visitor parking is available. Pay-and-display on-street parking is available on Ramsden Road and surrounding residential streets - usually free during class times.

Clapham South and Balham stations are both roughly a 10-minute walk away. Local bus services stop nearby along Nightingale Lane and Balham High Road.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at St Luke's Community Hall in Battersea are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. As a result, you can be confident that your child is in the best of hands. Here are the details of the Creative Team at this venue:

PRODUCER

Lewis

After graduating from Arts Educational Schools and working as an actor, I started producing classes at Perform. Watching the children developing in confidence, life skills and enjoying the classes so much, makes it the most rewarding job. In my free time, you will often find me at the theatre taking in a new play or musical.

TEACHER

Tamsin

I've been producing classes with Perform since 2019! I trained in Musical Theatre, and love being able to use my experience as a performer when teaching the children. It's such a fun job and I love seeing how far the children have come throughout the term, it makes me so proud!

AREA PARTNER

Gemma

I'm one of the Perform Area Partners. I'm so lucky to meet so many wonderful Perform children when I visit different classes and watching their confidence blossom throughout their time with us. My background is musical theatre and I have performed in many different shows in the West End and in theatres around the UK. During my time in Les Miserables, I got to sing at the European football final at Wembley and the 25th anniversary concert at the O2!

Alicia just LOVES Perform! She's a very bubbly and outgoing child who loves role-playing, but she wasn't enjoying her previous drama club and decided to quit. Thanks for bringing back the sparkle in Alicia's eyes and please don't change a thing.
