Dochka Davidson - Perform Royston parent

A warm welcome to Perform Royston at The Old Schoolhouse. We offer weekly drama, dance and singing classes for children aged 4-12 using unique songs, dances, games and exercises designed to boost child development.

We started running classes at The Old Schoolhouse in October 2022 and are currently here every week during term-time on Tuesdays.

At Perform Royston, the Producer of the classes is Lauren and the Teacher is Marisa. The schools are looked after by our Area Partner, Hannah.

The current term runs from 1st September to 15th December with no sessions on 27th October (half-term).

How to get here and parking:

To reach the venue by car, approach Royston town centre via Old London Road or Priory Lane and follow directions towards Market Hill, where the venue is located.

Paid on-street parking is available directly outside, alongside nearby town centre car parks. Free one-hour parking can also be found on the street behind.

Royston Railway Station is roughly a 10 minute walk away. Local bus services stop nearby at Warren Street and along the High Street, just a 3 minute walk away.

We spend a lot of time recruiting, training and evaluating our wonderful Area Partners, Producers and Teachers and the team at The Old Schoolhouse in Royston are no exception. As at all Perform schools, they have all been hand-picked for being enthusiastic, approachable and, of course, fantastic with children. As a result, you can be confident that your child is in the best of hands. Here are the details of the Creative Team at this venue:

PRODUCER

Lauren

I have been working with Perform since 2022. I love using my experience as an actress and writer to encourage the children to use their big imaginations and always give every activity a try. When I am not teaching, you will find me writing plays or performing in my improvisation group. I absolutely adore being creative!

TEACHER

Marisa

My Perform journey started in 2023. What I love most about teaching children is no class is the same! Each child has their own exciting Perform journey and it's a pleasure watching them grow each week! Whether it's learning catchy songs or getting super creative in our acting games and presentation rehearsals, it is never a dull moment. Outside or Perform, I enjoy watching live music and getting a round of tennis in.

AREA PARTNER

Hannah

I've been part of the Perform family since 2015 and work as an Area Partner and Producer. I also oversee our LAMDA classes and deliver SEN training. My favourite part of the job is making children laugh and creating a safe space where they can thrive. Outside of Perform, you'll usually find me reading, walking my dogs or learning something new. I'm particularly interested in Psychology and History!
