Perform Youth Theatre

Perform Youth Theatre

A new programme for 12-16s

Would your teenager enjoy appearing in a fully-staged musical in London in March 2025?

This January, we're launching an exciting new venture - Perform Youth Theatre - a dynamic programme of acting, dancing and singing for 12-16s culminating in a fully-staged show for family and friends.

This newly designed series of classes is the chance to be part of something really special. It gives children the chance to work with professionals on an exciting new musical - Oops I Made a Teenage Monster - performed in a Central London theatre with set, costumes and lighting.

Participants will work with a talented team of professional actors, singers and dancers, developing skills in musical theatre performance. The programme will focus on acting techniques, storytelling and stagecraft, helping children build confidence and communication skills in a fun and supportive environment.

A brand new musical

In a top-secret laboratory at the North Pole, a bunch of super-brainy teens are developing cutting-edge technology for the British Government.

With advanced knowledge of robotics and AI, Victoria is the brightest of the best and, when she achieves her goal of creating a fully autonomous machine-learning humanoid, she and her friends are over the moon.

But what has she created and can she control it before it's too late?

Based on Mary Shelley's classic novel, Frankenstein, Oops, I Made a Teenage Monster is a fast-moving, funny and upbeat show specially written for teens to perform and their families to enjoy.

Programme details

  • Designed for children aged 12-16 years

How to get involved

Auditions for the show will be held in November in Central London.

These will be warm friendly group sessions facilitated by Perform's most experienced teachers during which we will teach everybody some of the songs and dances from the show in order to assess each participant's strengths before casting.

Experience is not necessary and there is no cost to attend an audition.

If your 12-16 year old is interested, please email us at [email protected] to express your interest. You will then be contacted nearer the time to book an audition.
