Jungle rumble

Teacher and pupil

Spring 2025 theme

From January to APRIL, Perform For Schools is offering arts-based sessions to selected primary schools as part of our popular Drama4All project.

Each 25 minute session is led by an experienced, DBS-checked actor/drama teacher appearing 'in role' as the brave Jungle Explorer. Using drama, dance and singing, they'll take the children on a fascinating improvisation around the African Jungle.

Having completed some rigorous jungle training, the children will get on their elephants and set off into the bush to help rescue Snow, the last remaining White Lion, with a little help from a cheeky monkey called Boo!

These sessions will:

  • Complement a Jungle or Rainforest topic you might be working on or books you might be reading, such as Where the Wild Things Are, The Very Noisy Jungle or The Monkey with the Bright Blue Bottom!
  • Provide an excellent stimulus for creative writing, an art project, role play... the possibilities are endless!
  • Encourage confident speaking and good listening using rhyme and poetry

Specially formulated for Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children, these workshops are ideal as an introduction to the performing arts or as a fun treat during the school term. At the heart of every lesson, we aim to promote confidence, communication, concentration and coordination - our whole ethos here at Perform.

We can accommodate up to 8 sessions in one day, ideally in the school hall, and will spend 30 minutes with each class.

These workshops are incredibly popular and booked on a first-come-first-served basis. To book your school's space contact us here call 0207 255 9134 and one of the team will be happy to help.
