Imagination First
Imagination is more important than knowledge - Albert Einstein.
At Perform For Schools, we put Imagination First. Rather than using elaborate props or costumes, we prefer to focus on children's natural creativity, vision and inventiveness to bring subjects to life.
All of our classes and workshops use tried and tested drama techniques and our teachers encourage children to use their imaginations to recreate historic moments, rewrite scenes and stories, empathise with characters and get lost in an adventure. In our experience, that means children are able to focus on creating a world themselves leading to better retention and a greater depth of understanding of the material covered.
Not only will the children be immersed in the chosen topic, they'll also be developing the 4 Cs (confidence, communication, concentration and coordination) and having fun at the same time. What could be better?
All of our workshops have been designed in line with the National Curriculum and our Imagination First protocol ensures that all children have the opportunity to improvise, devise and script drama without limitations. Pupils will be able to adopt, create and sustain a range of roles, responding appropiately to others in role and participate in the artistic practice of drama.
